A few funny comments from Allardyce in the papers today.....
Commenting about the Southampton game "the expectation after the palace game was high and we just didn't live up to it"

Maybe he has seen that Noble has not got what it takes to lead a premier league football team. Bit fucking late though, anyone that knows anything about football could have seen that ages ago.

You can understand if players get back on a Friday & have an early Saturday game ... presume that's why Yaya Toure didn't play.
Unless they've picked up a knock you'd presume the players would be ok for a Monday night kickoff
A couple of games for Song would be a good thing as preparation
Players like Sahko & Valencia should be ready to start you'd think. If selected

I think Noble will play alongside Song and Kayoute, but may eventually lose his place to Poyet. Then again, he may well rise to the challenge. Competition for places is good anyway.

Not really fact is it.
This could have been a decent thread as it would be a mistake to make song captain but the petulant dig at our longest serving player has ruined it.
